Bellevue Chamber Chorus closes its season with Choral Masters, a tribute to the inspiring musical genius of some of the great choral composers through the ages. This concert will feature sacred treasures such as Palestrina’s Sicut Cervus and Exultate Deo, How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place from Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, Mozart’s Regina Coeli, Bruckner’s Locus Iste and the rousing Va, Pensiero from Verdi’s opera Nabucco (in celebration of his 200th birthday). This concert will also feature secular gems such as Copland’s The Promise of Living, Randall Thompson’s Choose Something Like a Star from Frostiana, Morten Lauridsen’s Sure on This Shining Night, Britten’s Evening Primrose (in celebration of his centenary), and many more. Don’t miss this showcase of choral classics!
Performances of Choral Masters take place at the following venues:
May 11, 2013 – 7:30 pm – East Shore Unitarian Church, Bellevue
May 18, 2013 – 7:30 pm – St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Medina
Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $14 for students and seniors, and $9 for children 12 and under. Group sales are also available.
